Living In Wrigleyville

Wrigleyville condos and lofts will always be popular but like it or not, living in Wrigleyville can mean being in party central.

Over 30 bars cater to crowds of Cubbies fans making Wrigleyville party central on game days.

Aside from the bars, there really are plenty of businesses, shops and restaurants that give the area it’s own special character. But the Cubs are king in this corner of Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.

The Cubs have played at Wrigley Field since 1916 and the field has the honor of being one of two surviving old ballparks. It is a site to behold sitting as it does on one city block smack dab in the middle of busy urban side streets.

Parking and getting around can be a royal pain but residents rely on their parking permits to hold onto their parking spots and time their errands around the schedule of games. Here’s what’s It’s a good idea to check and see what’s going on at Wrigley Field before you venture out.

Look beyond the baseball one can find high end modern condos and three flats along lovely tree-lined streets. There are also plenty of historic homes including Alta Vista Terrace. It’s a block-long landmark district of townhouses circa 1900 due north of Wrigley’s left field. These homes feature glorious stained glass above the doors and other ornamental details of a bygone era.

There are so many other great reasons to live in the Wrigleyville area of Lakeview. The zip code here is 60613. It’s a short walk or bike ride over to Lake Michigan and all it has to offer. There are tons of shops and restaurants from which to choose. A really nice place to call home base.
