Lakeview, which contains the neighborhoods of East Lakeview and Wrigleyville within its boarders is located with West Diversey Parkway on the south, West Irving Park Road on the north, North Ravenswood Avenue on the west, and the shore of Lake Michigan on the east. It is the most densley populated area in Chicago with almost 95,000 people living in an area of just over three miles.

Lakeview, once established as a farming community is now a vibrant neighborhood with many restaurants, bars and shops that cater to the unique interests of its residents.

Wrigley Field, the famed home of the Chicago Cubs is at the heart of the Lakeview neighborhood of Wrigleyville. During the baseball season sports bars and restaurants in Wrigleyville are alive with business from Cubs fans from all over Chicagoland and beyond.

Lakeview East is home to Boystown, the first officially recognized gay village in the United States which has many bars and clubs that cater to the GLBT community. The GLBT community can be credited with regenerating Lakeview from urban decline in the 1970's. There is an annual Chicago Pride Parade that attracts all kinds of people looking to have a good time and participate in the festivities. The parade takes place on the last Sunday of June and passes though the Lakeview East community.

Lakeview housing consists of a mix of bungalows, walk-up three-flats, high rises, Victorian greystones, large single-family houses and lavish mansions dating from the 1800s. Lakeview's four mile proximity to Chicago's Loop also makes it an attractive area to live for people who work downtown. It's close proximity to the lake and parks help make it an attractive community for people who enjoy the outdoors.
