West Loop Condo and Town Home Prices Up In January 2013 By 16.7%

If you live in the Chicago’s Near West Side (including the West Loop) the January home sale statistics for the area as reported by the Chicago Association of Realtors show continued very positive trends and will most certainly be of interest to you. January 2013 new listings of attached single family homes (condos and town homes) was down by 16.3% over 2012 and total inventory has dropped from 442 homes to 195, thats a decline of 55.9%. The median sales price in the same period has jumped by 16.7% from $240,000 to $280,000 and the time on market has declined from 189 days to 89 days, a 52.7% decline. Read more….
